Picadillo Empanada

Instructions

Roll out the puff pastry and cut circles of approximately 12 cm in diameter.

Heat the oil in a pan, sauté the onion and garlic, add the ground beef and sliced almonds, and cook thoroughly

Add the Mexican Mix, season with oregano, epazote, salt, and pepper.

Remove from heat and add the grated cheese, mix well.

Combine the egg white and yolk, set aside.

Place a portion of the beef mixture on each puff pastry circle and brush the circumference of the empanada with a little egg using a pastry brush, then seal.

Glaze the empanadas with egg and sprinkle a little oregano on top.

Bake at 200°C for 30 minutes.
